Dinner and Playscapes in Austin
July 4th, 2008The following Austin-area restaurants have playscapes:
- Central Market on 4001 N. Lamar - In addition to the great outdoor play area and large picnic area, there are lots of events, mostly music. The beauty of Central Market is that you can also get your grocery shopping done here too.
- Phil’s Ice House at 5620 Burnet Rd. w/Amy’s Ice Cream next door - This is a great combination… good burgers, ice cream and a outdoor playscape and shuffleboard. During the summer, Phil’s host movie nights.
Other Austin-Area restaurants that have great outdoor areas for kids to play:
- Ski Shores Waterfront Cafe at 3907 Pearce Rd. - nice water front views.
- Rudy’s at 2451 Capital of Texas Hwy. - huge lawn out back.

Nevertheless there have occurred instances, well authenticated ones too, where the captain has been known for an uncommonly critical moment or two, in a sudden squall say --to seize hold of the nearest oarsman's hair, and hold on there like grim death.
And he also knew that gaudies were hot spots for the sale of genuine maps, guaranteed from before the long winters, showing plenty of undug places.
